Bookmuncher Sightings ...

An enemy sighting ... this is what a bookmuncher looks like.  They are bad, very very bad, worse than people who fold dogears in books or who use smudgy fungers to turn pages.

  1. They're also called "earwigs" in Australia - because they also love to get inside the ears of sleeping people, especially during summer and eat common sense right out of the unsuspecting!

  2. Haha ... that is brilliant. I am told that earwigs like the starch in paper and clothes, and also some of the chemicals used to finish paper and give it a smooth feel. So, do Australians usually have starch or smooth paper in their ears? And very importantly, into which ear does the earwig go - with this information we could put out a national advisory that people should sleep on that side of their heads to avoid earwig attacks.
